The Shining

"The Shining" is a classic horror movie. In matter of fact, "The Shining" may be one of the best classic horror movies. Stanley Kubrick (director/producer) did such a good job in this movie. When "The Shining" came out, the dolly was just invented, so almost every single shot in this film is on a dolly, which is awesome. But I believe what impressed me the most was the acting by one of the greatest actors ever, Jack Nicholson (Jack Torrence). Jack Nicholson did such an amazing job in this movie that it was scary. And I know a lot of people down this movie because Stanley Kubrick changed a lot from the novel "The Shining" by Stephen King, but "The Shining" movie wise is fantastic. For this film to come out in 1980 and still be considered one of the greatest movies ever, you know it's good. There may not be another horror movie like this one because I know back then Stanley Kubrick got away with a lot that now if a director even tried to do what he did, the director could get into a lot of trouble. But honestly, what Stanley Kubrick did, made the movie ten times better then what it already was, so I respect him for it.
